Abstract: Baked goods are consumed worldwide and their enrichment with vegetables, tubers and leafy vegetables increases their nutritional value. Furthermore, it is an alternative for family farming to benefit its cultivated products and add more value in marketing. We intend to discuss interactions between rural extension agents from Mato Grosso do Sul (MS) and the collective of family farmers in the production of healthy foods, respecting agroecological principles, adding value to small family businesses Keywords: Family farming, bakery, rural extension. Extension technicians carried out practical bakery workshops enriched with the exchange of experiences and knowledge, in five municipalities in MS, with family farmers. The workshops covered generating themes, preparation technical sheets, elaboration of recipes with enriched breads (pumpkin, sweet potato, beetroot, carrot, yam and cassava), commercialization in public food acquisition policies, nutritional calculation of enriched breads and promotion of rural credit. 50 farmers participated in the workshops, which resulted in the promotion of commercialization in public policies, promotion of local and regional healthy eating habits, exchange of knowledge between participants about experience with baked goods, feasibility of more nutritious production and income generation. The importance of using the methodological procedures of Ater's Pedagogy and the role of Freire's educator and student was verified. And the significant increase in vitamin A, potassium and dietary fiber in bread was validated with the increase in vegetables and tubers. The importance of the extensionist's role as an agent of local development, promoting the diversification of family farming production and the continuity of actions that promote food and nutrition was verified.
