OFICINAS DE FORMAÇÃO DE MULTIPLICADORES: UMA ESTRATÉGIA EFETIVA DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL
As oficinas de capacitação para
catadores de resíduos sólidos constituemse
como uma estratégia de aprendizagem
para educação ambiental. Objetiva-se
analisar a eficácia e efetividade de oficinas de
multiplicadores enquanto instrumento para o
fortalecimento do papel protagonista do catador
no processo de manejo dos resíduos sólidos.
Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, realizada
por meio de oficinas com catadores de dez
associações de reciclagem do município de
Caxias do Sul/RS e um total de trinta catadores,
sobre temas relacionados aos resíduos e
à atividade laboral desses profissionais.
Os multiplicadores conseguiram facilitar os
conhecimentos apreendidos nas oficinas
para os demais catadores nas associações
com interação e envolvimento da maioria dos
trabalhadores participantes.

Abstract:
The workshops of capacitation
for solid residue collectors constitutes as a
learning strategy for environmental education.
The objective of this study is analyzing the
effectiveness and efficiency of multiplier
workshops as an instrument to the strengthen
of the protagonist role of waste collectors in
the process of solid waste management. The
study consists of a qualitative research, carried
out through workshops with collectors of ten
recycling associations in Caxias do Sul/RS and a
total of thirty waste collectors about topics related
to the work activity of these professionals. The
multipliers were able to facilitate the knowledge
learned in the workshops for the other collectors
in the associations with interaction and
involvement of the majority of the participating
workers.
