Abstract: Permanent Health Education (EPS) is a political-pedagogical strategy that aims to qualify and improve the work process with a view to producing changes in this area. Thinking about implementing EPS actions in the context of Primary Health Care evokes the use of active and participatory methodologies. These must be able to lead health professionals in a process of changing their practices, causing positive transformations in the work process. That said, the objective of this work is to report the experience of Permanent Health Education workshops with professionals from the Consultório na Rua (CnaR) in Maceió. This is an experience report of a descriptive and reflective nature. Four workshops were held. Five CnaR professionals from the following professional categories participated: nursing, social work, psychology and social action agents. The description of the experiences and reflections that emerged from the EPS workshops are described and organized into four axes, namely: The work - Workshop 1; Territorialities - Workshop 2; Self-government and government of others - Workshop 3; and, Clinical care and teamwork - Workshop 4. Finally, reflecting on the work process in the context of CnaR enriches the possibilities for building best health practices. EPS opens spaces for reflections and exchanges with a view to improving the quality of actions and services that are available to users. Being aware of the modes of domination proves to be fundamental to moving in the opposite direction: that of building autonomy. It was also possible to reflect on care technologies as well as their implementation in everyday life. We consider the development of EPS workshops to be necessary to allow the establishment of reflective and critical processes among CnaR workers.
