Abstract: The present work aims to explain the importance of the Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) as a minimal intervention technique and, concurrently, with maximum prevention, through a literature review, aimed at health promotion and prevention. Additionally, highlighting the association between the Social Determinants and the SUS principle of “Equity” is highly encouraged, emphasizing the indispensability of making treatment more accessible to the most vulnerable population, ensuring access to oral health services when the physician Not Available. Thus, as a result, the indispensability of the presence of Treatment is noted, in addition to the consequent benefits of its implementation in Public Health actions, along with its high effectiveness and low cost. The importance of TRA is concluded when considering the needs of individuals and promoting a gradual improvement in their quality of life.
