Abstract: The pruning management of fig tree permits to change its fenology, modifying the haverst periods and creating conditions for two annual harvests. This study aimed to evaluate the productive behavior of the cultivar Pingo de Mel submitted to winter pruning and different times of green pruning to obtain two harvests by vegetative cycle of the plant. Fig trees were submitted to the following treatments: i) control, with only winter pruning on 08/13/2013; ii) winter pruning on 8/13/2013 + green pruning on 11/12/2013; and iii) winter pruning on 8/13/2013 + green pruning on 12/10/2013.This experiment was performed during the 2013/2014 season in fig tree in Veranópolis, Rio Grande do Sul State, Brazil. The experimental design was randomized blocks, with four replications and two plants per plot, per treatment. Variables associated to fenology, plant production, weight of fruit, soluble solids and total titratable acidity were analyzed. The phenological cycle of plants pruned in winter provided the harvest in January. Already, the phenological cycle of the plants submitted to green pruning on 11/12/2013 and 12/10/2013 promotes harvests in March and April, respectively. The green pruning season in November allowed for higher production per plant and higher fruit quality compared to December. The production from the practice of green pruning allows an increase in total production to the producer and availability of fruit to the consumer.
