OBSERVATÓRIO GEOGRÁFICO DA FRONTEIRA SUL: UMA PLATAFORMA DE ACESSO ÀS INFORMAÇÕES REGIONAIS
O Núcleo de Estudos Ambiente,
Território e Paisagem (NETAP) é um grupo de
pesquisa da Universidade Federal da Fronteira
Sul (UFFS) que busca se tornar referência
em estudos geográficos na região da fronteira
sul, sobretudo nas microrregiões de Chapecó/
SC, Erechim/RS e Passo Fundo/RS. Com o
compromisso de desenvolver novas pesquisas
regionais, o NETAP aprovou um projeto pela
Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa Científica do
Estado de Santa Catarina (FAPESC), intitulado
“Observatório Geográfico da Fronteira Sul:
construindo e compartilhando experiências para
a democratização do acesso às informações
regionais”. Os estudos elencados pelo projeto
tangem reflexões teórico-epistemológicas
de cunho geográfico nas diferentes áreas do
conhecimento em torno dessas microrregiões,
em suas cinco linhas de pesquisa: (i)
Desenvolvimento territorial e planejamento
ambiental; (ii) Dinâmica da paisagem; (iii) O
urbano, o rural e as relações campo-cidade;
(iv) Território, ambiente e paisagem em
processos educativos; (v) Território, ambiente
e saúde. Com o desenvolvimento do projeto,
o grupo de investigadores elaborou um blog,
disponibilizando as informações transformadas
em conhecimentos. Trata-se de um ambiente
virtual de livre acesso e uma ferramenta
democrática de acesso à informação, com o
objetivo de facilitar, divulgar e disponibilizar
pesquisas desenvolvidas nessas regiões. Os
principais temas são: localização geográfica,
uso e ocupação do solo, infraestrutura urbana,
população, economia, meio ambiente e
saúde. Esta comunicação visa apresentar o
referido observatório sob olhar das variáveis
população, Índice de Desenvolvimento Humano
(IDH) e Produto Interno Bruto (PIB) nas três
microrregiões mencionadas.

Abstract:
The Center for Environment,
Territory and landscape Studies (NETAP) is a
research group of the Federal University of the
South Frontier (UFFS) that seeks to become a
reference in geographic studies in the southern
border region, especially in the microregions of Chapecó/SC, Erechim/ RS and Passo
Fundo/RS. With the commitment to develop new regional researches, NETAP approved
a project by the Foundation for scientific research support of the state of Santa Catarina
(FAPESC), titled “Geographic Observatory of the South Frontier: democratization of
access to regional information “. The studies listed by the project tangent theoreticalepistemological
reflections of a geographic nature in the different areas of knowledge
around these microregions, in their five lines of research: (i) territorial development
and environmental planning; (ii) Landscape dynamics; (iii) Urban, rural and fieldcity
relations; (iv) Territory, environment and landscape in educational processes;
(v) Territory, environment and health. With the development of the project, the group
of researchers elaborated a blog, making available the information transformed into
knowledge. It is a virtual environment of free access and a democratic tool for access
to information, with the aim of facilitating, disseminating and providing research
developed in these regions. The main themes are: geographic location, land use
and occupation, urban infrastructure, population, economy, environment and health.
This communication aims to present this observatory under the look of the population
variables, human development index (IDH) and othes socio-economic indicators (PIB)
in the three microregions mentioned.
