Abstract: The reported experience took place in the Music Education degree course at the State University of Rio Grande do Sul (Uergs), specifically in the discipline of Methodologies and Practices of Music Teaching, aiming to prepare students for future internships. It emphasized the importance of music in early childhood education and the role of the music educator in society, integrating theory and practice for reflections on the educational field. The preparation and execution of lesson plans focused on teaching music for Basic Education, especially in Early Childhood Education, highlighting the internship as crucial in the training of music educators. The experience demonstrated music as essential for the integral development of children, covering cognitive, emotional, social, and physical aspects, through playful activities. The lesson plans aimed to integrate musical concepts in an accessible way, promoting active experimentation by the children and including elements of local culture to foster identity and belonging. The practice highlighted the need to adapt teaching methods to the interests of the students, creating an inclusive learning environment. Conducted in a public Early Childhood Education school in Montenegro/RS, the experience provided the application of theoretical knowledge, exploring the interdisciplinarity of music and contributing to the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Integrated into the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), early childhood music education promotes the expression of feelings, cultural interaction, and the development of motor and cognitive skills, being essential for the integral development of children. The experience reinforced the importance of considering music as part of educational development, highlighting the need for pedagogical planning that recognizes the multiple intelligences of children, contributing to a more inclusive, expressive, and humanized education.
