Abstract: The progression of Alzheimer’s disease, one of the leading causes of dementia, is directly related to neurodegenerative processes such as the accumulation of beta-amyloid plaques, oxidative stress, and neuroinflammation. Given the complexity of conventional treatments, medicinal plants have emerged as promising therapeutic alternatives, especially due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective properties. This study aims to analyze the effects of Curcuma longa (turmeric), Ginkgo biloba, and Vitis vinifera (grape) in delaying Alzheimer’s disease. Turmeric, rich in curcumin, has been shown to reduce the formation of beta-amyloid plaques, as well as exhibit potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Ginkgo biloba, widely used in clinical studies, improves cerebral blood flow, combats oxidative stress, and inhibits neuronal death. Meanwhile, Vitis vinifera, through compounds such as resveratrol, has demonstrated the ability to reduce neuroinflammation and stimulate synaptic plasticity. The results indicate that these plants, either alone or in combination with conventional therapies, can slow disease progression, improving patients’ quality of life. However, further clinical research is necessary to standardize their use and ensure long-term safety and efficacy.
