• Abstract:

  This text develops a reflection about the importance of appropriation of digital tools in teaching practice, aiming to form teachers more attentive to the needs of digital "born" students, who are, in their majority, willing to socialize their knowledge. This discussion proposal was conceived after the use of Google as a tool for the practice of fiches during the activities of the Research Project "Learning english with music", promoted by IF Baiano, Senhor do Bonfim Campus, and coordinated by this author. In this perspective, regarding the theoretical-methodological aspects, it was considered necessary to understand how the process of writing evolution was organized, from stone to screen, as well as to analyze how the Google tool facilitates school and academic studies and discuss the concepts that validate the importance and necessity of online education and the appropriation of digital technologies by all those involved in the educational process, before, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the need for the continued education of teachers was verified, as they need to be predisposed to learn enough, in order to fulfill their teaching role in line with an increasingly technological society.
