O USO DE TOMOGRAFIA COMPUTADORIZADA PARA AVALIAR O TECIDO ÓSSEO AO REDOR DE IMPLANTES DENTÁRIOS SUBMETIDOS À CARGA IMEDIATA REABILITADOS COM OVERDENTURE
As próteses do tipo overdenture, quando bem indicadas, apresentam ótimas taxas de sucesso. Contudo, o protocolo atual estabelece um período de 3 meses para cicatrização dos implantes, para, então, submetê-los à carga através da instalação da prótese tipo overdenture. Durante esse tempo, o paciente permanece com a prótese total convencional. Diante disso, esse trabalho avaliou a condição do tecido ósseo ao redor de implantes submetidos a prótese tipo overdenture com carga imediata, através da avaliação tomográfica computadorizada após 1 ano da instalação das próteses. Para isso, os pacientes foram submetidos à carga imediata e à técnica convencional. Foram obtidas as medidas do nível ósseo marginal e unidade Hounsfield das faces mesial, distal, vestibular e lingual até a plataforma do implante. Como resultado, observou-se que não houve diferença estatística entre os grupos convencional e imediato na análise da perda do nível ósseo marginal e da densidade óssea após um ano do uso da overdenture. Diante disso, supõe-se que a prótese total mucossuportada e retida por dois implantes imediatamente após a colocação dos mesmos não acarreta em comprometimento dos parâmetros ósseos perimplantares e da taxa de sucesso dos implantes, melhorando, assim, o padrão de satisfação e eficácia do tratamento com overdentures.

Abstract:
It is known that the overdenture type prosthesis are well indicated and with excellent success rates. The current protocol establishes a period of 3 months for the healing of the implants, to then install the overdenture type prosthesis. During this time, the patient remains with the conventional total prosthesis. The objective of this study was to evaluate the success rate of implants submitted to overdenture prosthesis with immediate loading, through tomographic evaluation after 1 year of implant installation. For this, patients were submitted to immediate loading and to the conventional technique. Measurements of the marginal bone level and Hounsfield unit were obtained from the mesial, distal, buccal and lingual surfaces to the implant platform. As a result, it was observed that there was no statistical difference between the conventional and immediate groups in the analysis of marginal bone level loss and bone density after one year of overdenture use. Therefore, it is assumed that the total prosthesis mucosuported and retained by two implants immediately after their placement does not lead to impairment of the tomographic parameters and the success rate of the implants, thus improving the satisfaction and efficacy pattern of the treatment with overdentures.
