O USO DE MATERIAL DIDÁTICO ADAPTADO PARA ALUNOS CEGOS: EXPLORANDO O PERCEPTUAL TÁTIL ACERCA DAS CAMADAS DA TERRA
O presente trabalho apresenta os resultados obtidos com a produção do
material didático adaptado “As camadas da Terra” para alunos cegos no ensino de
Ciências Naturais e verifica o potencial pedagógico do material didático adaptado
que foi produzido considerando as necessidades educacionais especiais de alunos
cegos em seu processo de aprendizagem na área de Ciências Naturais, a partir da
testagem com os alunos cegos e a respeito da eficácia do material para o ensino e
aprendizagem dos alunos do Centro de Apoio Pedagógico de Marabá – PA. Tem
como objetivo investigar o potencial pedagógico do recurso que foi produzido,
considerando o referencial perceptual tátil dos alunos cegos em seu processo de
escolarização no Ensino de Ciências Naturais. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa
com a utilização da técnica de observação participante e diário de campo, baseada
na realização de entrevistas semiestruturada com os professores e na testagem do
material com os alunos do Centro de Apoio Pedagógico. Conclui-se a partir das
entrevistas e da testagem com os alunos cegos que o recurso didático é eficaz, pois
auxilia na assimilação dos conceitos, na fixação do conteúdo e na complementação
da parte teórica.

Abstract:
The present study presents the results obtained with the production of
adapted "Earth layers" didactic material for blind students in the teaching of Natural
Sciences and verifies the pedagogical potential of the adapted didactic material
that was produced considering the special educational needs of blind students in
their learning process in the area of Natural Sciences, based on testing with the
blind students and on the effectiveness of the material for teaching and learning of
the students of the Pedagogical Support Center of Marabá - PA. It aims to
investigate the pedagogical potential of the resource that was produced,
considering the tactile perceptual referential of the blind students in their schooling
process in the Teaching of Natural Sciences. The methodology used was qualitative
with the use of the participant observation technique and field diary, based on semistructured
interviews with the teachers and on the testing of the material with the
students of the Pedagogical Support Center. It is concluded from interviews and
testing with the blind students that the didactic resource is effective, as it assists in
the assimilation of concepts, in the fixation of content and in the complementation
of the theoretical part.
