O USO DE ATIVIDADES LÚDICAS ATRAVÉS DOS CUIDADORES DE PACIENTES COM ALZHEIMER: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA BASEADO NO ARCO DE MAGUEREZ
Com o crescimento da expectativa
de vida da população ocorre, também, um
aumento no número de pessoas que desenvolve
a demência com diferentes etiologias. A
Doença de Alzheimer ocasiona um quadro de
demência e compromete gradativamente as
funções cognitivas e intelectuais dos pacientes,
tornando cada vez mais doloroso e traumático
para o paciente e para seu cuidador, seja ele
familiar ou não. Nesse sentido, o presente
estudo objetiva relatar a experiência de um
grupo de acadêmicos de enfermagem com
cuidadores de pacientes com Alzheimer e a
importância das atividades lúdicas através do
Arco de Maguerez. É um estudo descritivo com
abordagem qualitativa em que participaram
cerca de 20 cuidadores familiares de idosos
diagnosticados com a doença, sendo que
95% eram do gênero feminino e 5% do
gênero masculino. Embora seja um relato de
experiência particular e isolado, é importante
ressaltar que durante o desenvolvimento
deste estudo não houve contato direto com os
pacientes e que a atividade teve êxito, visto que
a atenção voltada para o bem-estar do cuidador
reflete na qualidade de vida do paciente.

Abstract:
With the increase in the life expectancy of the population, there is also
an increase in the number of people who develop dementia with different etiologies.
Alzheimer's Disease causes dementia and gradually compromises the cognitive and
intellectual functions of patients, making it increasingly painful and traumatic for the
patient and his caregiver, whether or not they are relatives. Following these discussions,
the present study aims to report the experience of a group of nursing students with
caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients and the importance of playful activities through the
Maguerez’ Arch. It is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in which about
20 family caregivers of elderly people diagnosed with the disease participated, 95%
of them were female and 5% were male. Although it is a report of private and isolated
experience, it is important to emphasize that during the development of this study
there was no direct contact with the patients and this activity was successful, since the
attention focused on the well-being of the caregiver reflects on the quality of patient’s
life.
