O USO DAS PLANTAS MEDICINAIS DURANTE A GESTAÇÃO
A gestação de uma vida é um momento extremamente especial para a gestante quando ocorrem numerosas modificações na estrutura feminina, físicas e psicológicas, por até nove meses de espera. Essas modificações trazem uma série de incômodos (mal-estar, enjoos, dores no corpo) que acontecem no período gestacional. Na busca por amenizá-las várias gestantes procuram ingerir produtos de origem natural por acharem que não existem efeitos adversos como os medicamentos industrializados. Nessa procura, a crença de que não é perigoso tomar chás, tinturas, por exemplo, o consumo de plantas medicinais torna-se uma opção para muitas gestantes, que ao utilizar esses produtos, na maioria das vezes, sem indicação dos profissionais especializados, acreditam que não acontecerão problemas. Entretanto, existem indícios científicos de que muitos ativos de uso farmacêutico encontrados nas plantas medicinais apresentam riscos no decorrer da gestação.

Abstract:
The gestation of a life is an extremely special moment for the pregnant woman when there are numerous modifications in the feminine structure, physical and psychological, for up to nine months of waiting. These changes bring about a number of discomforts (malaise, nausea, pains in the body) that occur in the gestational period. In the search to soften them several pregnant women seek to ingest products of natural origin because they believe that there are no adverse effects like the industrialized medicines. In this search, the belief that it is not dangerous to take teas, tinctures, for example, the consumption of medicinal plants becomes an option for many pregnant women, who use these products, most of the time, without indication of the specialized professionals, believe that there will be no problems. However, there is scientific evidence that many pharmaceutical active ingredients found in medicvinal plants present risks during pregnancy.
