O uso da laserterapia no manejo do pé diabético: revisão sistemática da literatura

• Abstract: Objective: to analyze the effect of low-power laser therapy in the treatment of diabetic foot. Method: a systematic review of the literature was carried out through a search in the MEDLINE and LILACS databases via the Virtual Health Library, based on the recommended six-step method and constructed according to the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) methodology. ). Two independent researchers combined the descriptors Diabetic foot and Lasertherapy, in October 2023. Articles published between 2013 and 2023 were examined and information was extracted from the database: type of study; intervention outcomes and study quality. Results: Laser therapy has notable benefits in the treatment of diabetic foot, offering a promising approach to accelerate wound healing and in the treatment of fungal infections that can be precursors to severe foot complications. Conclusion: low- intensity laser therapy has been one of the main forms of treatment tested and implemented for the treatment of diabetic foot, showing promising rehabilitation results.
