O TRABALHO DOS PROFISSIONAIS DE PSICOLOGIA NO PROCESSO TRANSEXULIZADOR: REFLEXÕES E POSSIBILIDADES
O presente artigo trata de uma reflexão acerca do processo de
avaliação e acompanhamento psicológico para o processo transexualizador,
suas implicações sociais e éticas. Tem por objetivo estudar documentos,
produções e discussões sobre os referidos processos, refletir os diferentes tipos
de avaliação psicológica e as possibilidades para as demandas trans, bem como
contribuir para a luta pela despatologização da transexualidade e promoção de
saúde e autonomia para o referido público. Parte-se de uma perspectiva crítica
em psicologia, que compreende as questões sobre sexualidade como
construções sociais e os profissionais de psicologia como responsáveis por suas
práticas e produções. O artigo é oriundo de estudos e pesquisa teórico
bibliográfica e documental. Tendo como referência a luta pela despatologização
da transexualidade, buscou-se apresentar algumas reflexões sobre o trabalho
da Psicologia com a realidade das pessoas trans e as possibilidades de
intervenção para uma atuação profissional reflexiva, comprometida ética e
política com os Direitos Humanos, com a promoção de saúde e qualidade de
vida das pessoas trans e com a promoção da autonomia destas pessoas sobre
o próprio corpo.

Abstract:
This paper deals with a reflection on the process of evaluation and
psychological accompaniment for the transexualization process, its social and
ethical implications. Its objective is to study documents, productions and
discussions about these processes, to reflect the different types of psychological
assessment and the possibilities for trans demands, as well as to contribute to
the struggle for the depathologization of transsexuality and health promotion and
autonomy for the aforementioned public. It starts from a critical perspective in
psychology, which includes questions about sexuality as social constructs and
psychology professionals as responsible for their practices and productions. The
paper comes from theoretical studies and bibliographical and documentary
research. Having as reference the struggle for the depathologization of
transsexuality, we sought to present some reflections about the work of
Psychology with the reality of trans people and the possibilities of intervention for
a reflexive, committed ethical and political work with Human Rights, with the
health promotion and life quality of trans people and with the autonomy promotion
of these people on their own body.
