O TRABALHO DO PROFESSOR MT NAS ESCOLAS DE CABO FRIO.
De acordo com Veiga (2007), desde 1940 a Educação de Jovens e Adultos vem sendo considerada um problema de políticas públicas no Brasil. Alfabetizar esses jovens e adultos ainda é uma tarefa nebulosa e nem sempre alcançada. A complexidade dessa modalidade de ensino, muitas vezes, inibi o avanço nas providências por parte do governo. É imprescindível que haja estudos para a eficiência da alfabetização de jovens e adultos que não tiveram o direito do acesso e da permanência na escola assegurados na idade apropriada. Diante dessa realidade, o objetivo deste trabalho é a) apresentar porque é tão difícil para alunos e professores compreenderem que apenas aprenderem a decodificar e a escrever, não é o suficiente para fazerem parte de uma cultura de letramento; b) apontar a diferença entre ser letrado e alfabetizado; e c) apontar quais as políticas públicas realizadas a partir do período do governo militar até os dias atuais.

Abstract:
According to Veiga (2007), since 1940 the Youth and Adult Education has been considered a problem of public policies in Brazil. Alphabetize these young people and adults is still a nebulous task and not always achieved. The complexity of this type of education often inhibit the advancement in action by the government. It is essential that there are studies for youth literacy efficiency and adults who did not have the right of access and permanence in school provided at the appropriate age. Given this reality, the objective of this paper is a) to present why it is so difficult for students and teachers understand that just learning to decode and writing it is not enough to be part of a literacy culture; b) tell the difference between being literate and literate; and c) point which public policies carried out from the military government of the period to the present day.
