O TRABALHO DE CATADORES DE MATERIAL RECICLADO COMO INSTRUMENTO PARA SENSIBILIZAR A PARTICIPAÇÃO NA COLETA SELETIVA
: Desde 2005 a Coleta Seletiva no município de Porto Amazonas - Paraná é realizada através de um convênio com a Associação dos Recicladores de Porto Amazonas (ARPA), hoje já considerada cooperativa. A coleta alcança 100% das residências do município, mas apesar desta cobertura parte da população não colabora com a entrega de materiais aos catadores de material reciclado (CMR), consequência da falta de conhecimento e valorização da atividade exercida pelos trabalhadores da reciclagem. Neste contexto, este relato de experiências trabalhou a sensibilização, frente ao trabalho dos CMR na coleta seletiva, de alunos do terceiro ano de um colégio local do município. Teve como objetivo, mostrar aos alunos o trabalho dos CMR da cooperativa ARPA, sensibilizando-os sobre a importância sócio ambiental da atividade, influenciando desta forma no despertar para uma consciência ambiental da participação da coleta seletiva. Adotou-se um estudo de caso visando um acompanhamento mais detalhado de um determinado grupo de alunos frente à situação local dos CMR. A coleta de dados se deu por meio de entrevistas durante as visitas orientadas à associação ARPA, realizada pelos alunos e uma atividade voltada para educação ambiental, em forma de uma peça teatral elaborada pelos próprios alunos. Observou-se grande sensibilização dos alunos demonstrando uma iniciativa por mudança na peça teatral elaborada, levando a mensagem a toda a comunidade. Este trabalho pode levantar reflexões de como utilizar situações do cotidiano com o local onde vivem os alunos para enfocar questões ambientais, tornando a aprendizagem mais interessante e menos cansativa.

Abstract:
Since 2005, the Selective Collection in the municipality of Porto Amazonas - Paraná has been carried out through an agreement with the Porto Amazonas Recyclers Association (ARPA), now considered a cooperative. The collection reaches 100% of the municipality's residences, but despite this coverage, part of the population does not collaborate with the delivery of materials to recycled material collectors (CMR), a consequence of the lack of knowledge and appreciation of the activity carried out by recycling workers. In this context, this experience report worked on raising awareness, regarding the work of the CMR in selective collection, of third-year students from a local school in the municipality. Its objective was to show students the work of the CMR of the ARPA cooperative, sensitizing them about the socio-environmental importance of the activity, thus influencing the awakening to an environmental awareness of the participation of selective collection. A case study was adopted aiming at a more detailed follow-up of a certain group of students in face of the local situation of the CMR. Data collection took place through interviews during guided visits to the ARPA association, carried out by the students and an activity focused on environmental education, in the form of a theatrical play prepared by the students themselves. There was a great awareness of students demonstrating an initiative for change in the theatrical play, taking the message to the entire community. This work can raise reflections on how to use everyday situations with the place where students live to focus on environmental issues, making learning more interesting and less tiring.
