O TEATRO COMO FESTA: uma introdução à teoria teatral de Georg Fuchs
O alemão Johann Georg Peter
Fuchs (1868-1949) foi encenador, dramaturgo
e pensador do teatro moderno. Viveu a maior
parte de sua vida em Munique onde construiu o
Münchener Künstlertheater (Teatro dos Artistas
de Munique), que abriu as portas em 1908,
com a encenação da peça Fausto de Johann
Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832). A proposta
deste trabalho é apresentar e discutir algumas
ideias de Fuchs e suas contribuições para
a transformação do teatro moderno. Nesse
sentido, a ideia central é analisar os fundamentos
do teatro de Fuchs, seus principais referenciais
e objetivos. Alguns dos aspectos desse teatro
que estarão em destaque aqui são: a criação
de um novo espaço cênico, as questões que
envolvem a relação palco / platéia e a recepção,
seus fundamentos e suas contribuições na
transformação espacial do teatro. O ponto
de partida será o livro A revolução do teatro:
conclusões acerca do Teatro dos Artistas de
Munique publicado por Fuchs em 1909, pouco
após a abertura do teatro concebido por ele.
Nesse livro, o autor apresenta as suas propostas
para um novo teatro e como elas influenciaram
na construção do Teatro dos Artistas.

Abstract:
The German Johann Georg Peter
Fuchs (1868-1949) was director, playwright and
thinker of the modern theater. He lived most of
his life in Munich where he built the Münchener
Künstlertheater (Munich Theater of Artists),
which opened its doors in 1908 with the play
Faust of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-
1832). The purpose of this work is to present
and discuss some ideas of Fuchs and their
contributions to the transformation of modern
theater. In this sense, the central idea is to
analyze the foundations of the theater of Fuchs,
its main references and objectives. Some of the
aspects of this theater that will be highlighted
here are: the creation of a new scenic space, the
issues involving the stage / audience relationship
and the reception, its foundations and its
contributions to the spatial transformation of the
theater. The starting point will be the book The
Revolution of the Theater: conclusions about
the Theater of the Artists of Munich published
by Fuchs in 1909, shortly after the opening of
the theater designed by him. In this book, the
author presents his proposals for a new theater
and how they influenced the construction of the
Theater of Artists.
