O TABU DO OBJETO: O FUNCIONAMENTO DO MECANISMO DE CONTROLE DO DIZER NO LIVRO
Neste trabalho, tivemos como objetivo analisar os controles do dizer sobre a lesbianidade no núcleo familiar japonês. A pesquisa se justifica pelo reflexo da organização desses discursos na vida das lésbicas japonesas, levando-as à exclusão no ambiente familiar e na sociedade. Partimos do conceito de “tabu do objeto”, apresentado por Foucault (2014), visando discutir as zonas de interdição do discurso e como essas relações se imbricam na cultura japonesa. Tomamos como pressuposto que as famílias japonesas são culturalmente silenciosas e evitam temas que possam causar discussão ou desconforto (LEBRA, 2007), o que leva a uma seleção e controle minuciosos do que pode ou não ser dito. Dessa forma, analisamos o romance lésbico autobiográfico “Love Upon the Chopping Board” (MAREE; IZUMO, 2000), destacando enunciados da família japonesa tradicional de Marou Izumo. Assim, foi possível constatar que a lesbianidade representa um tabu do objeto entre os japoneses, resultando no silenciamento dessas mulheres.

Abstract:
In this paper, we aimed to analyze the speech controls about lesbianism in the Japanese familiar nucleus. The research is justified by the effects caused by the organization of these discourses in Japanese lesbian lives, leading them to exclusion in the family environment and society. We start from the concept of “taboo subject”, presented by Foucault (2014), aiming to discuss the discourse interdiction zones and how these relations are interwoven in the Japanese culture. We assume that Japanese family are culturally silent, and avoid topics that can bring arguments or the feeling of unease (LEBRA, 2007), which leads to the selection and thorough control of what can or cannot be said. Therefore, we analyzed the lesbian autobiographic novel “Love Upon the Chopping Board” (MAREE; IZUMO, 2000), highlighting Marou Izumo’s traditional Japanese family’s statements. Thus, it was possible to determine that lesbianism represents a taboo subject among Japanese people, resulting in these women’s silencing.
