O SAGRADO E O PROFANO NA DEVOÇÃO E DANÇA A SÃO GONÇALO DE AMARANTE
Apresento aqui um breve histórico da dança de São Gonçalo de Amarante, analisado a partir do seu contexto entre o sagrado e o profano. Um ritual que dar ênfase a tradição e representação dessa manifestação folclórica mantida pelos devotos e pela cultura local. Uma tradição herdada com o processo de colonização e formação da sociedade brasileira, mesmo tendo os rituais de danças retirados da liturgia da Igreja Católica durante a Idade Média. Neste trabalho, falo um pouco sobre a tradição da dança de São Gonçalo no Brasil, principalmente, no distrito de Lisieux, Santa Quitéria-Ce, que serviu de base para este estudo, como um resquício do hibridismo e tradição escrava que permanece na memória de algumas pessoas da comunidade. A partir da análise de textos que discorrem sobre o tema, embasando conceitos abordados no texto. Conhecer e valorizar a dança de São Gonçalo por meio da história do “santo”, transmitida e repleta de lendas amparadas na devoção do povo devoto. Possibilitando conhecer o ritual de louvor que no contexto cultural dessa manifestação folclórica transmite uma performance entre o sagrado e o profano desenvolvida a partir do imaginário e crença dos devotos.

Abstract:
I present here a brief history of the dance of São Gonçalo of Amarante, analyzed from its context between the sacred and the profane. A ritual that emphasizes the tradition and representation of this folkloric manifestation maintained by devotees and local culture. A tradition inherited with the process of colonization and formation of Brazilian society, even having the dance rituals taken from the liturgy of the Catholic Church during the Middle Ages. In this paper, I speak a little about the dance tradition of São Gonçalo in Brazil, mainly in the Lisieux district, Santa Quitéria-Ce, which served as the basis for this study, as a remnant of the hybridism and slave tradition that remains in memory of some people from the community. From the analysis of texts that discuss the theme, basing concepts covered in the text. To know and value the dance of São Gonçalo through the history of the “saint”, transmitted and full of legends supported by the devotion of the devout people. Enabling to know the ritual of praise that in the cultural context of this folklore manifestation transmits a performance between the sacred and the profane developed from the imagination and belief of devotees.
