O que pensam os usuários sobre a saúde em comunidades ribeirinhas do Baixo Madeira: análise estrutural das Representações Sociais
Este estudo objetivou identificar e analisar as representações sociais acerca da saúde e da doença dos moradores de comunidades ribeirinhas do Baixo Madeira. Trata-se de um estudo de natureza descritiva com abordagem quantiqualitativa, orientado pela Teoria das Representações Sociais em sua abordagem estrutural ou Teoria do Núcleo Central. Os cenários do estudo foram três distritos da zona rural fluvial do município de Porto Velho-RO, entre os meses de julho e agosto de 2014. O estudo contou com a participação de 120 moradores de ambos os sexos, que responderam às questões de evocações livres. Os dados lexicais gerados foram analisados posteriormente, a partir do quadro de quatro casas, com o auxílio do software EVOC 2005, para a compreensão dos elementos centrais, intermediários, contrastes e periféricos. Os resultados indicam que os conteúdos representacionais dos participantes sobre a saúde e doença envolveram descrições e atitudes acerca dos objetos pesquisados e assumem as funções pragmática e afetiva das representações. A estrutura representacional apresentada pelos sujeitos reflete sentimentos e avaliações distintas acerca dos objetos e revela as mesmas dimensões em ambos os termos analisados. Além disso, estão ancoradas na estrutura de saúde local existente. O núcleo central das representações sociais do termo saúde é formado pelos léxicos amor, paz e atendimento e o de doença por desespero, medo e atendimento. Conclui-se que os ribeirinhos revelam uma representação positiva da saúde e negativa do sistema de saúde e do objeto doença, significando-as com base no modelo biomédico.

Abstract:
This study aimed to identify and analyze the social representations about the health and illness of the inhabitants of riverside communities in Baixo Madeira. It is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, guided by the Theory of Social Representations in its structural approach or Theory of the Central Nucleus. The study scenarios were three districts of the rural fluvial zone of the municipality of Porto Velho-RO, between the months of July and August 2014. The study was attended by 120 residents of both genders, who answered the questions of free evocations . The lexical data generated were analyzed later, from the table of four houses, with the help of the EVOC 2005 software, to understand the central, intermediate, contrasts and peripheral elements. The results indicate that the participants' representational content about health and disease involved descriptions and attitudes about the researched objects and assume the pragmatic and affective functions of the representations. The representational structure presented by the subjects reflects different feelings and assessments about the objects and reveals the same dimensions in both terms analyzed. In addition, they are anchored in the existing local health structure. The central core of the social representations of the term health is formed by the lexicons love, peace and care and that of illness due to despair, fear and care. It is concluded that riverside dwellers reveal a positive representation of health and a negative representation of the health system and the disease object, meaning them based on the biomedical model.
