A psicologia como área que estuda o comportamento e a mente humanos contribui com teorias que ajudam a explicar fenômenos que sustentam ações, pensamentos e sentimentos. A teoria de Carl Gustav Jung é uma abordagem que traz, em suas teorias, as estruturas arquetípicas que auxiliam nesta compreensão. É sob este viés que se pode realizar a leitura de produções artísticas, como obras literárias, mesmo que aconteçam em um mundo fictício, na medida em que permitem ser comparadas ao funcionamento psíquico do ser humano. Harry Potter é um fenômeno mundial, que agrada pessoas de todas as faixas etárias. Neste trabalho, decidiu-se colocar luz sobre o vilão Voldemort que nasce em condições de abandono. Este fato foi emparelhado às consequências de situação semelhante a que crianças reais são submetidas, trazendo possibilidade de entendimento para o desenvolvimento infantil. Buscou-se o arquétipo da grande mãe para elucidar os impactos do abandono no desenvolvimento de um indivíduo.

Abstract:
Psychology as a field that studies behavior and human mind contributes with theories that help to explain phenomenons which sustains actions, thoughts and feelings. Carl Gustav Jung’s theory is an approach that brings, in your explanations, archeptical structures that help to this understanding. It is under this bias that we can accomplish artistic production reading, such as literature pieces, even if this happens in a fictional world, in a mesure that they are compared to psychic functioning of human being. Harry Potter is a world wide phenomenon, which pleases people of all ages. In this paper work, was decided to put light over the villain Voldemort who was born in abandon situation. This fact putted side by side to similar situation consequences in which real children are submitted, bringing an explanation from junguian analytic theory. Great Mother archeptic was gotten to elucidate the abandon impacts in a individual’s development.
