O PROJETO DE INTRODUÇÃO DA DISCIPLINA DE METODOLOGIA DA PESQUISA NA ESCOLA NAVAL
Este estudo tem por propósito apresentar o projeto de introdução da
disciplina de Metodologia da Pesquisa e, em especial, o Trabalho de Conclusão de
Curso (TCC), instrumento obrigatório para os formandos, a partir de 2014, da Escola
Naval, instituição de ensino superior da Marinha do Brasil. O objetivo da disciplina é
compreender os principais aspectos necessários à elaboração de um trabalho
monográfico, configurando-se numa oportunidade para os discentes exercitarem
suas capacidades de análise e síntese, e aprimorarem o seu raciocínio, lógico e
sistematizado, voltado para a obtenção de conclusões próprias. As unidades
componentes da ementa da disciplina são: (i) técnicas para elaboração de
monografias; (ii) normatização do trabalho científico; (iii) estrutura do trabalho
individual; e (iv) pesquisa, desenvolvimento e orientação. O projeto está organizado
em procedimentos desenvolvidos em quatro anos: 2014, uma disciplina introdutória,
um Ensaio de Conclusão de Curso com cerca de dez laudas; 2015, utilização da
metodologia a distância, disponibilizando mais tempo para pesquisa e orientação,
contendo um abstract e cerca de 15 páginas; 2016, introdução da Matriz Analítica,
que seria o projeto de pesquisa, apresentação de 10% dos TCC à banca de três
docentes e cerca de 20 páginas; e 2017, apresentação de cerca de 30% dos TCC a
uma banca de três docentes da instituição. Este estudo está ainda em andamento,
mas se espera que, ao final do projeto, os alunos possam utilizar o que aprenderam
como recurso importante em sua vida acadêmica e extensivo à sua vida profissional,
tornando-os oficiais críticos e argumentativos.

Abstract:
This study aims to present the introduction project of the discipline
Research Methodology, and specially the Final Paper, that since 2014 is an obligatory
instrument for the graduating students of the Naval Academy, a higher education
institution (HEI) of the Brazilian Navy. The purpose of the discipline is to understand
the main necessary aspects for the elaboration of a final paper, representing an
opportunity for the students exercising their analysis and synthesizing abilities. Also,
to improve their logical and systematized reasoning, in order to reach their own
conclusions. The discipline syllabus components are: (i) monograph elaboration
techniques; (ii) scientific paper standardization; (iii) individual work structure; and (iv)
research, development and academic advising. The project is organized in
procedures developed in four years: 2014, an introductory subject, a Course
Conclusion Preparation with about 10 pages; 2015, use of Distance Education
methodology, providing more time for research and advising, containing an abstract
and 15 pages; 2016, introduction of the Analytic Matrix, that would be the research
project, presentation of 10% of the final papers with about 20 pages to an examining
board composed by three professors; and 2017, presentation of about 30% of the
final papers to an examining commission of three institution professors. This study is
still in progress, but, by the end of the project, students are expected to be able to
apply what they learned as an important resource in their academic life, extending it
to their professional life, making them analytical and questioning officers.
