O PROCESSO DE TRABALHO DAS ASSISTENTES SOCIAIS NO DEPARTAMENTO DE SERVIÇO SOCIAL DA UFSM: ESTRATÉGIAS INTERVENTIVAS PARA O FORTALECIMENTO DE UMA EDUCAÇÃO CIDADÃ E DEMOCRÁTICA.
A inserção do assistente social em espaços educacionais se faz uma realidade cada vez mais necessária em meio ao cenário de desmonte de direitos sociais pelo qual a sociedade brasileira passa. Dessa forma, compreende-se o profissional de Serviço Social como potencializador da construção de uma Educação mais cidadã, na qual o acesso e a permanência nesses espaços sejam respeitados. A Educação de ensino superior, tradicionalmente elitista no contexto brasileiro, não foge a essa realidade, corroborando, assim, para que os assistentes sociais sejam protagonistas de uma Educação mais equânime e de qualidade. Dessa forma, é de suma importância realizar uma análise dos novos espaços sócio-ocupacionais em que o assistente social tem se inserido no âmbito da Educação. Assim, o artigo versa sobre a atuação das assistentes sociais no Departamento de Serviço Social da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, nicho recente de trabalho no estado do Rio Grande do Sul e no País, bem como sobre seu papel no debate da garantia à Política.

Abstract:
The insertion of the social worker in educational spaces becomes an increasingly necessary reality in the middle of the scenario of dismantling of social rights by which Brazilian society passes. In this way, the Social Work professional is understood as a promoter of the construction of a more citizen education, in which access and permanence in these spaces are respected. Higher education, traditionally elitist in the Brazilian context, does not escape this reality, thus corroborating, so that social workers are protagonists of a more equitable and quality education. Thus, it is extremely important to carry out an analysis of the new socio-occupational spaces in which the social worker has been inserted in the scope of education. Thus, the article deals with the role of social workers in the Department of Social Work of the Federal University of Santa Maria, recent work in the state of Rio Grande do Sul and in the country, as well as its role in the debate on the guarantee to the Policy. -
