Abstract: The research on the process of monitoring the teaching and learning of students will be carried out at Chiulugo Secondary School in the Municipality of Lichinga. Its general objective was to analyze the process of monitoring the teaching and learning of students and, specifically, to identify all those accompanying the student's teaching and learning process; describe the role of all those involved in monitoring teaching and learning and propose strategies to improve the monitoring of the teaching and learning process. The period analyzed will be 2023-2024. Teachers, students, the school management and the president of the school council participated in this study. It also presents as a central question: To what extent does the monitoring process influence the teaching and learning of students at Chiulugo Secondary School? The study opted for the interpretative paradigm as a model to answer the questions that guided the research. Methodologically, it was adapted to a qualitative approach. For data collection, semi-structured interviews, observation and bibliographic research were used. In the analysis of the data, they were divided into categories, which allowed a good interpretation of the data. The results show that only one teacher claims not to be an element that is part of the teaching and learning monitoring process, the other participants are unanimous in affirming their presence and understand that the PEA monitoring process must be understood as something essential for improving student results; although the other participants affirm that they have attended the teaching and learning monitoring process without any surprises, the teachers may be unhappy and dismayed by the attitude of their patron, as more than 24 teachers have not received their overtime since 2018. On the other hand, the school management is left to its own devices, as in 2021 it will not receive the institution's operating fund; although one of the strategies to be used for the teaching and learning monitoring process is to summon all participants in the educational process, it needs several strategies such as going beyond the standard activity hours, reserving this time to reinforce understanding.
