O PROBLEMA DO MAL COMO SOFRIMENTO HUMANO NO LIVRO DE JÓ
O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar uma análise objetiva do problema do mal físico como sofrimento no livro de Jó. O tema do sofrimento humano é desde tempos imemoriais discutido pelo homem e suscita uma série de respostas possíveis, e também silêncio quando se reconhece que é um assunto difícil, seja na Filosofia, seja na Teologia. No presente trabalho, é feita uma breve abordagem sobre o problema do mal e de como ele é tratado no livro de Jó. É feita uma breve análise do livro, destacando-se alguns aspectos literários e teológicos com vistas a situar o assunto aqui abordado. Naturalmente, questões relativas à autoria, data da composição, a estrutura do livro, os outros personagens nele abordados, a unidade do livro, dentre outros assuntos, demandaria uma abordagem bem mais extensa e não é o que se pretendeu realizar aqui, ainda que estas questões tenham sido levemente abordadas. O foco principal é abordar a questão do mal, não o mal moral, mas o mal como fato da existência humana. Este, sem dúvida, continua sendo um assunto ainda a ser explorado pela Teologia, especialmente no contexto brasileiro em que tantas pessoas sofrem de diversas maneiras.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to present an objective analysis of the problem of physical evil as suffering in the book of Job. The theme of human suffering has been discussed by man since time immemorial and raises a series of possible answers, as well as silence when it is recognized that it is a a difficult subject, whether in Philosophy or Theology. In the present work, a brief approach is made about the problem of evil and how it is treated in the book of Job. A brief analysis of the book is made, highlighting some literary and theological aspects in order to situate the subject discussed here. Naturally, issues related to authorship, date of composition, the structure of the book, the other characters covered in it, the unit of the book, among other issues, would demand a much more extensive approach and this is not what was intended to be done here, even if these questions have been lightly addressed. The main focus is to address the issue of evil, not moral evil, but evil as a fact of human existence. This, without a doubt, remains a subject yet to be explored by Theology, especially in the Brazilian context where so many people suffer in different ways.
