O PERFIL SOCIOECONÔMICO DOS CAPOEIRISTAS NO MUNICÍPIO DE DRACENA
Pesquisa de caráter descritivo
qualitativo, com recorte espacial delimitado pelo
município de Dracena, estado de São Paulo,
que pertence à Mesorregião de Presidente
Prudente, seiscentos e cinquenta quilômetros
a oeste da capital. Foi realizada durante o
segundo semestre de dois mil e dezesseis, com
o objetivo de buscar informações referentes às
condições socioeconômicas dos praticantes de
capoeira, o que permitiu determinar o perfil global
destes indivíduos e relacionar sua participação
no processo de evolução da Capoeira, que por
sua vez encontra-se no processo de inserção
na dinâmica capitalista. A principal hipótese
desta pesquisa, é que por não ser uma região
tradicionalmente reconhecida pela prática
da capoeira, teve condições diferentes das
encontradas nos redutos tradicionais. Para
esta pesquisa foi realizada um levantamento
histórico através do uso de História Oral, tendo
como fonte a memória dos mestres de capoeira.
O recorte temporal teve como marco inicial o
ano de fundação da cidade, mil novecentos e
quarenta e cinco, abrangendo outubro de dois
mil e seis.

Abstract:
This is a qualitative descriptive
research, with a spatial clipping delimited
by the municipality of Dracena, state of São
Paulo, which belongs to the Meso region of
Presidente Prudente, six hundred and fifty
kilometers west of the capital. It was carried out
during the second semester of two thousand
and sixteen, with the objective of seeking
information on the socioeconomic conditions
of capoeira practitioners, which allowed to
determine the overall profile of these individuals
and to relate their participation in the process
of evolution of Capoeira. is in the process of
insertion into capitalist dynamics. The main
hypothesis of this research is that because it
is not a region traditionally recognized by the
practice of capoeira, it had different conditions
from those found in traditional strongholds. For
this research was carried out a historical survey
through the use of Oral History, having as a
source the memory of the masters of capoeira.
The temporal cut had as initial mark the year
of foundation of the city, one thousand nine
hundred and forty five, covering October of two thousand and six.
