O PERFIL DOS ALUNOS DO PROEJA: sentidos e significados da formação profissional
Este estudo objetivou estabelecer uma apreciação crítica a partir do perfil socioeconômico e educacional dos alunos ingressos no Instituto Federal de Educação do Maranhão - IFMA - Campus São Luís-Maracanã, de dois cursos técnicos do Programa Nacional de Educação Profissional Integrada à Educação Básica na Modalidade da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (PROEJA), considerando os sentidos e significados do processo de escolarização desses educandos, identificando suas aspirações e dificuldades frente à dinâmica da formação profissional. A pesquisa baseou-se em uma abordagem quanti-qualitativa, incluindo um estudo bibliográfico e análise documental. O instrumento para a coleta de dados foi o questionário, e sua aplicação envolveu os/as alunos/as dos cursos técnicos de Agropecuária e Cozinha. A interpretação e análise dos dados oportunizou conhecer o público-alvo desta política pública, compreendendo suas opiniões, expectativas e motivações acerca da sua escolarização e profissionalização. Os resultados indicam com veemência um perfil de alunos/as que buscam na escolarização a possibilidade de retomar os estudos e ressignificar sua autoestima, associando este processo à colocação no mercado de trabalho para que tenham melhoria da qualidade de vida e possam proporcionar dignidade à sua família e a si mesmos.

Abstract:
This study aimed to establish a critical appraisal based on the socioeconomic and educational profile of students enrolled at the Federal Institute of Education of Maranhão - IFMA - Campus São Luís-Maracanã, of two technical courses of the National Program of Professional Education Integrated to Basic Education in the Youth and Adult Education (PROEJA), considering the senses and meanings of the schooling process of these students, identifying their aspirations and difficulties in view of the dynamics of professional training. The research was based on a quantitative-qualitative approach, including a bibliographic study and documentary analysis. The instrument for data collection was the questionnaire, and its application involved students from technical courses in Agriculture and Kitchen. The interpretation and analysis of the data made it possible to meet the target audience of this public policy, understanding their opinions, expectations and motivations about their schooling and professionalization. The results strongly indicate a profile of students looking for schooling the possibility of resuming their studies and re-signifying their self-esteem, associating this process with placing them in the job market so that they have improved quality of life and can provide dignity to their family. and themselves. -
