O PATRIMÔNIO SOCIAL E SEUS IMPACTOS NOS INDICADORES DE QUALIDADE DAS UNIVERSIDADES COMUNITÁRIAS CATARINENSES: UMA INVESTIGAÇÃO QUANTITATIVA SOBRE SUAS RELAÇÕES
O presente artigo resulta da pesquisa que teve como objetivo identificar o nível de relação entre o Patrimônio Social das universidades comunitárias catarinenses e os índices avaliativos do Ministério da Educação (MEC). Trata-se, nesse sentido, de uma pesquisa descritiva, de natureza quantitativa. Como objeto de pesquisa, foram relacionadas todas as 13 Universidades Comunitárias do estado de Santa Catarina, adotando-se, para a coleta de dados, a técnica documental, constituída da análise histórica dos balanços sociais e dos índices avaliativos definidos e avaliados pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC) no período de 2010 a 2017. Quanto à técnica de análise de dados, foi utilizada a estatística descritiva e, quanto aos resultados, foi identificada uma relação positiva entre as variáveis observadas por meio do Coeficiente de Correlação Linear de Pearson, assim como se constatou que as Instituições Catarinenses de Ensino Superior (ICES), que conseguiram aumentar seu patrimônio social ao longo dos anos, obtiveram índices maiores. Como conclusão, este estudo sugere que os investimentos na estrutura física das ICES influenciam positivamente os indicadores de qualidade do MEC, de forma a complementar as demais atividades acadêmicas.

Abstract:
This article is the result of research that aimed to identify the level of relationship between the Social Patrimony of Santa Catarina community universities and the evaluative indices of the Ministry of Education (MEC). In this sense, it is a descriptive, quantitative research. As a research object, all 13 Community Universities in the state of Santa Catarina were listed, adopting, for data collection, the documentary technique, consisting of the historical analysis of the social balance sheets and the evaluation indexes defined and evaluated by the Ministry of Education (MEC) in the period from 2010 to 2017. As for the data analysis technique, descriptive statistics was used and, regarding results, a positive relationship was identified between the variables observed through Pearson's Linear Correlation Coefficient, as well as it was found that the Santa Catarina Higher Education Institutions (ICES), which managed to increase their social assets over the years, obtained higher rates. In conclusion, this study suggests that investments in the physical structure of the ICES positively influence the quality indicators of the MEC, in order to complement the other academic activities.
