O PAPEL E A IMPORTÂNCIA DO PROFISSIONAL DE FARMÁCIA PARA A SAÚDE PÚBLICA E PARA AS ÚNIDADES BÁSICAS DE SAÚDE NO BRASIL
O profissional farmacêutico tem o
papel de selecionar, programar, armazenar,
distribuir e dispensar a medicação, bem como
criar estratégias no processo de aquisição de
medicamentos. No âmbito da Atenção Primária
à Saúde, além de dispor de seus conhecimentos
ao indivíduo, o farmacêutico é de extrema
importância para a sociedade atuando por
meio da promoção da saúde, orientações
sobre fármacos e prevenção de doenças. O
estudo teve como objetivo mostrar o papel e
a importância do profissional de farmácia para
a melhoria da saúde pública. Trata-se de um
estudo de revisão de literatura no qual foram
utilizadas publicações de artigos classificados
com Qualis Capes A ou B, sem restrição de
idiomas, dados públicos, livros e legislação
vigentes. Foi possível notar a importância
do farmacêutico como agente promotor da
saúde coletiva e individual, no entanto, ainda
é perceptível a exclusão desse profissional no
âmbito da atenção primária. Legislações que
dispõem sobre as diretrizes de atenção básica
de saúde ainda não incluem o profissional de
farmácia como um dos profissionais essenciais
ao funcionamento das Unidades Básicas
de Saúde. Sabe-se que a aproximação do
farmacêutico e paciente é fundamental para que
este possa aderir ao tratamento farmacológico
de forma que alcance os resultados almejados
e resolutividade dos males à saúde. Este estudo
foi essencial para demonstrar a importância do
farmacêutico no contexto da atenção primária,
pois, embora existam outras iniciativas que
ponham o farmacêutico em outros setores da
área de saúde, propor a sua presença nas
UBS pode inibir falhas no processo desde a
prescrição médica e a entrega do medicamento,
uma vez que o mesmo terá mais oportunidade
de conhecer o paciente.

Abstract:
The pharmaceutical professional has the role of selecting, programming,
storing, distributing and dispensing with medication, as well as creating strategies in
the process of acquiring medicines. In the scope of Primary Health Care, in addition to
having its knowledge to the individual, the pharmacist is extremely important for society
acting through health promotion, guidance on drugs and disease prevention. The study
aimed to show the role and importance of the pharmacy professional to improve public
health. This is a literature review study in which publications of articles classified with
Qualis Capes A or B were used, without restriction of languages, public data, books
and current legislation. It was possible to note the importance of the pharmacist as a
promoter of public and individual health, however, it is still noticeable the exclusion of this
professional in the scope of primary care. Legislation on primary health care guidelines
still does not include the pharmacy professional as one of the professionals essential
to the functioning of basic health units. It is known that the approach of the pharmacist
and patient is fundamental so that it can adhere to pharmacological treatment in a way
that achieves the desired results and problem-solving capacity of health diseases. This
study was essential to demonstrate the importance of the pharmacist in the context
of primary care, because, although there are other initiatives that put the pharmacist
in other sectors of the health area, proposing their presence in the UBS may inhibit
failures in the process from the prescription and delivery of the drug, since it will have
more opportunity to meet the patient.
