O papel do sistema imune no combate ao HPV
O Papilomavírus Humano (HPV) é um vírus que infecta a pele ou mucosas (oral, genital, anal) dos indivíduos provocando verrugas genitais ou podendo evoluir para lesões cancerígenas, a depender do tipo de vírus e de cofatores como: permissividade celular, fatores genéticos, alimentares e o nível imunológico do indivíduo infectado. Objetivou-se assim na pesquisa demonstrar que o sistema imunológico quando bem regulado, através de hábitos de vida saudáveis pode ser o fator chave na eliminação de patologias em específico ao vírus HPV. Para tanto foi realizada uma pesquisa do tipo revisão de literatura, visando estudar o assunto de forma cientifica, compreendendo e tirando conclusões acerca do papel do sistema imune no combate ao HPV. A pesquisa teve como base, referencial teórico e livros onde foram feitas pesquisas em bancos de dados como Pubmed, SCielo e NCBI. Foram utilizadas na pesquisa as palavras “Imunidade”, “Infecções por Papillomavirus”, e “Doenças Virais Sexualmente Transmissíveis”. O recorte temporal utilizado na pesquisa compreende os anos de 2002 a 2020. Concluiu-se que apesar do HPV ter alta incidência mundial o desenvolvimento para um câncer é um desfecho raro, podendo a infecção por HPV ser resolvida pelo próprio sistema imune quando bem regulado e aliado a isso as vacinas existentes se tornam mais uma ferramenta que contribui para eliminação do vírus

Abstract:
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a virus that infects the skin or mucous membranes (oral, genital, anal) of individuals causing genital warts or may evolve into cancer lesions, depending on the type of virus and cofactors such as: cellular permissiveness, genetic factors, food and immunological level of the infected individual. The research aimed to demonstrate that the immune system when well regulated, through healthy lifestyle habits can be the key factor in the elimination of pathologies specific to HPV virus. For this it was performed a literature review research, aiming to study the subject scientifically, understanding and drawing conclusions about the role of the immune system in combating HPV. The research was based on theoretical references and books that were searched in databases such as Pubmed, SCielo and NCBI. The words "Immunity", "Papillomavirus Infections", and "Sexually Transmitted Diseases" were used in the research. The time frame used in the research was from 2002 to 2020. It was concluded that although HPV has a high incidence worldwide, the development of cancer is a rare outcome, and that HPV infection can be resolved by the immune system itself when well regulated.
