O PAPEL DO ENFERMEIRO NA ONCOLOGIA: SABERES E CONDUTAS RELEVANTES NA ASSISTÊNCIA AO PACIENTE ONCOLÓGICO
O câncer é um problema de saúde pública que possui inúmeras implicações sociais, emocionais e epidemiológicas para o paciente e sua família. Diante desse cenário, é crescente a necessidade de profissionais competentes para o desenvolvimento de uma assistência de excelência, e, dentre eles destaca-se o enfermeiro. O principal objetivo deste estudo é compreender o papel do enfermeiro na Oncologia, buscando analisar a importância de suas condutas na assistência ao paciente oncológico. Utilizou-se a revisão integrativa de literatura, onde os estudos incluídos na revisão responderam à seguinte questão norteadora: Qual o papel do enfermeiro na assistência ao paciente oncológico? Foi realizada uma busca de dados por meio eletrônico sobre o tema e foram incluídos trabalhos científicos publicados no período de 2005 a 2021 nas bases de dados: PUBMED, SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library), e na BVS através das seguintes bases: MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) e LILACS (Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde). Devido à complexidade do câncer, o paciente oncológico é direcionado para várias condutas exercidas pela equipe de Enfermagem, que deve exercê-las de forma correta, humanizada e agradável. Destacam-se principalmente entre elas, a consulta de enfermagem em que esses profissionais buscam observar a saúde física e emocional do paciente e seus familiares, supervisão e planejamento do esquema terapêutico antineoplásico, aconselhamento genético e cuidados paliativos. Conclui-se então, que o enfermeiro apresenta um papel essencial na assistência ao paciente oncológico e, diante disso, é imprescindível que esses profissionais sejam valorizados e que os saberes e as condutas necessárias à correta assistência ao paciente oncológico sejam desenvolvidas com excelência.

Abstract:
Cancer is a public health problem that has numerous social, emotional and epidemiological implications for the patient and their families. Given this scenario, there is a growing need for competent professionals to develop a service of excellence, and among them, the nurse stands out. The main objective of this study is to understand the role of nurses in oncology, seeking to analyze the importance of their conduct in assisting cancer patients. An integrative literature review was used, where the studies included in the review answered the following guiding question: What is the role of nurses in cancer patient care? An electronic search for data on the theme was performed and scientific papers published from 2005 to 2021 in the following databases: PUBMED, SCIELO (Scientific Electronic Library), and in the VHL through the following databases: MEDLINE (Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online) and LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences Information) were included. Due to the complexity of cancer, the oncologic patient is directed to several conducts performed by the Nursing team, which must perform them in a correct, humanized and pleasant manner. Among these, the most important are the nursing consultation, in which these professionals seek to observe the physical and emotional health of the patient and their families, supervision and planning of the antineoplastic therapeutic scheme, genetic counseling and palliative care. We conclude that nurses play an essential role in the care of cancer patients and in the face of that it is essential that these professionals are valued, and that the knowledge and conduct necessary for the correct care of cancer patients be developed with excellence.
