O PAPEL DO COMITÊ DE ÉTICA EM PESQUISA EM UMA INSTITUIÇÃO DE ENSINO SUPERIOR
Introdução: A ética é definida como estudo da conduta de acordo com os valores da sociedade e a pesquisa como atividade que leva ao conhecimento. Dessa forma, a ética em pesquisa é regida pelos preceitos da sociedade, entre eles os da bioética. A ética em pesquisa possui dois grandes vieses, o voltado para seres humanos e o para animais. Focado na pesquisa em humanos, objeto de estudo desse trabalho, foi criado o Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP), que tem por objetivo garantir os direitos dos participantes da pesquisa. O presente trabalho se torna relevante, uma vez que as pesquisas estão se intensificando. Objetivo: Realizar busca histórica sobre o surgimento dos Comitês de Ética em Pesquisa com seres humanos, enfatizando a sua importância para a comunidade acadêmica. Métodos: Revisão de literatura e uso de manuais e guias da Plataforma Brasil, Ministério da Saúde, resoluções do Conselho Nacional de Saúde e regimento do CEP/UNIFESO. Resultados e discussão: O início da discussão de ética em pesquisa foi no século XVI, com os filósofos Galileu Galilei e Francis Bacon, seguido, ao longo dos séculos seguintes, por outros pensadores e, no Brasil, essa discussão começa na década de 80 até a criação do CEP e da Plataforma Brasil. Dessa forma, a maior visibilidade dos fluxos dos processos dentro da Instituição de Ensino Superior (IES), contribui para que os pesquisadores consigam conduzir as suas pesquisas dentro das normas. Conclusão: O CEP tem como função garantir o bem-estar dos participantes das pesquisas, bem como verificar o seguimento das normas éticas vigentes.

Abstract:
Introduction: Ethic is defined as a study of de conduct according to society values and research as an activity that leads to knowledge. Therefore, research ethics is ruled by society precepts, including those of bioethics. Research ethics have two major biases, the one for human beings and the one for animals. Focus on the research in humans, object of study of this paper, is was created the Research Ethics Committee (REC), that has for purpose guarantee the rights of the research subjects. The present paper becomes relevant, since the number of researchers is increasing. Aims: Conduct a historical search on the emergence of Research Ethics Committees with human beings, emphasizing their importance for the academic community. Methods: Literature review and use of manuals and guides from Plataforma Brasil, Ministério da Saúde, resolutions of the Comitê Nacional de Saúde and REC/UNIFESO regulations. Results and discussion: The beginning of the discussion about research ethics was in the XVI century, with the philosophers Galileo Galilei and Francis Bacon, followed along the centuries by other intellectuals and in Brazil this discussion began in the 80’s, up to the creation of REC and Plataforma Brasil. In this way, the greater visibility of the process flows within a Higher Education Institution (HEI), contributes for researchers to be able to conduct their research within the norms. Conclusion: The REC function is to guarantee the wellbeing of research participants, as well as checking the compliance with current ethical norms.
