O presente artigo analisa o papel da Polícia Militar do Pará no enfrentamento às facções criminosas que atuam no estado, considerando a complexidade do crime organizado e seus impactos na ordem pública. Objetiva-se compreender as estratégias operacionais, a base legal e os desafios institucionais enfrentados pela corporação no combate a esses grupos. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa, com revisão bibliográfica e análise documental de legislações, doutrinas e diretrizes operacionais da PMPA. Os resultados apontam que a atuação integrada com outros órgãos, o uso de inteligência policial e a presença qualificada do policiamento ostensivo são determinantes para desarticular facções. Conclui-se que o fortalecimento institucional, a capacitação contínua e o investimento em tecnologia são fundamentais para garantir a eficácia da Polícia Militar no cumprimento de sua missão constitucional diante do crime organizado.

  • Abstract: This article analyzes the role of the Military Police of Pará in confronting criminal factions operating in the state, considering the complexity of organized crime and its impacts on public order. The objective is to understand the operational strategies, the legal basis and the institutional challenges faced by the corporation in combating these groups. The methodology used was qualitative, with a bibliographic review and documentary analysis of legislation, doctrines and operational guidelines of the PMPA. The results indicate that integrated action with other agencies, the use of police intelligence and the qualified presence of ostensive policing are decisive in dismantling factions. It is concluded that institutional strengthening, continuous training and investment in technology are  fundamental to ensure the effectiveness of the Military Police in fulfilling its constitutional mission in the face of organized crime.
