O PAPEL DA LIDERANÇA DE ENFERMAGEM COMO MOTOR DO PROGRESSO DA PROFISSÃO.
Introdução: A liderança é um fenómeno sociológico presente em todos os grupos humanos, baseia-se na influência exercida por um indivíduo sobre um grupo de pessoas, a fim de alcançar um objectivo comum. Objectivos: Efectuar uma revisão bibliográfica da literatura científica sobre liderança na supervisão de enfermagem. Método: O trabalho realizado consiste em duas partes, a primeira baseada numa pesquisa bibliográfica e a segunda, não menos importante, centrada num estudo observacional realizado no Complexo Hospitalar de Soria.Quanto à pesquisa bibliográfica da literatura científica disponível, esta foi realizada entre Novembro de 2020 e encerrada em Setembro de 2021. Diferentes bases de dados foram pesquisadas electronicamente, como por exemplo: Cuiden, Scielo e Dialnet, Pubmed, Science Direct foram utilizado como mecanismo de pesquisa. Resultados: A liderança eficaz baseia-se na escolha do tipo de liderança, nas características básicas do líder (inata ou adquirida) e nos seus comportamentos. Se estes elementos coincidirem com as necessidades do grupo de enfermeiros, serão obtidos melhores cuidados de enfermagem e com isso uma melhoria da saúde do paciente. Conclusões: Existe actualmente uma crise de liderança na enfermagem que dificulta a implementação de uma liderança eficaz, sendo as mudanças estruturais e a educação os melhores instrumentos para a combater.

Abstract:
Introduction: Leadership is a sociological phenomenon present in all human groups; it is based on the influence exerted by an individual over a group of people to achieve a common goal. Objectives: To perform a literature review of the scientific literature on leadership in nursing supervision. Method: The work carried out consists of two parts, the first based on a bibliographic search and the second, no less important, focused on an observational study carried out in the Soria Hospital Complex. As for the bibliographic search of the available scientific literature, it was carried out between November 2020 and closed in September 2021. Different databases were searched electronically, such as Cuiden, Scielo and Dialnet. Pubmed, ScienceDirect were used as search engine. Results: Effective leadership is based on the choice of leadership type, the basic characteristics of the leader (innate or acquired) and their behaviours. If these elements coincide with the needs of the group of nurses, better nursing care will be obtained and with it an improvement in the patient's health. Conclusions: There is currently a leadership crisis in nursing which hinders the implementation of an effective leadership, with structural changes and education being the best tools to combat it.
