O PAPEL DA ENFERMAGEM FRENTE AO PACIENTE ACOMETIDO POR ALZHEIMER
A Doença de Alzheimer é uma doença idiopática, crônica e neurodegenerativa, sendo a principal causa de demência, atingindo, predominantemente, a população idosa. O tempo de sobrevida do paciente, diagnosticado com Alzheimer, está associado com o diagnóstico precoce e intervenções específicas, sendo o enfermeiro um forte contribuinte dentro da equipe multidisciplinar para atuar no retardo de complicações e melhorar a qualidade de vida desses pacientes. O presente estudo trata-se de uma revisão de literatura integrativa, realizada através de análise detalhada de literaturas publicadas anteriormente na integra, tendo como objetivo analisar o papel da enfermagem frente ao paciente acometido por Doença de Alzheimer, bem como identificar a importância da enfermagem no processo de retardo das complicações existentes. Conclui-se que a enfermagem torna - se indispensável no tratamento de pessoas acometidas pela Doença de Alzheimer, seja no diagnóstico, na promoção ou nas intervenções.

Abstract:
Alzheimer's disease is an idiopathic, chronic and neurodegenerative disease, being the main cause of dementia, affecting predominantly the elderly population. The patient's survival time, diagnosed with Alzheimer's, is associated with early diagnosis and specific interventions, being the nurse a strong contributor within the multidisciplinary team to delay complications and improve the quality of life of these patients. The present study is a review of integrative literature, carried out through a detailed analysis of previously published literature, aiming to analyze the role of nursing in relation to the patient affected by Alzheimer's disease, as well as to identify the importance of nursing in process of delaying existing complications. It is concluded that nursing becomes indispensable in the treatment of people affected by Alzheimer's disease, either in diagnosis, promotion or interventions.
