Abstract: This study examines master’s-level education as a complex formative process capable of generating epistemic shifts, critical maturity, and expanded investigative awareness. Grounded in an interpretative qualitative approach, the analysis draws on classical and contemporary works addressing epistemology, sociology of science, complexity, and research identity. The findings reveal that the master’s degree transcends technical development and becomes an intellectual reconstruction that requires epistemic vigilance, recognition of knowledge plurality, and awareness of the ethical implications embedded in scientific production. The formative trajectory explored demonstrates that graduate education humanizes knowledge by strengthening the researcher’s social responsibility and enhancing their capacity to interpret reality critically, contextually, and sensitively. It is concluded that the master’s program functions as an essential space for consolidating rigorous investigative practices committed to the complexity of human phenomena, reaffirming its importance for building a socially responsible science.
