O LIVRO DIDÁTICO E A EDUCAÇÃO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS
Este trabalho é um recorte da
pesquisa de Mestrado intitulada “A produção
de texto no livro didático de Língua Portuguesa
dos anos finais do ensino fundamental de EJA”.
Trata-se, então, do livro didático como prática
pedagógica na EJA, desde sua seleção à sua
utilização em sala de aula. Como objetivo
geral, pretende investigar como o contexto
histórico-cultural influencia na seleção e no
uso do Livro Didático como prática pedagógica
na Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) nos
anos finais do Ensino Fundamental. Como
objetivos específicos, pretende refletir sobre
o percurso histórico do Livro Didático, sua
construção sócio histórica, ou seja, como este
recurso pedagógico foi se caracterizando ao
longo do tempo, ganhando espaço no ambiente
escolar e sendo instituído como discurso de
autoridade por meio das relações de poder por
ele estabelecidas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de
cunho qualitativo, isto é, predominantemente
descritiva, com abordagem interpretativista.
Este trabalho torna-se relevante à medida em
que se faz necessário compreender o quanto o
Livro Didático é um suporte pedagógico que foi
se modificando ao longo do tempo em virtude de
públicos diferentes, necessidades e interesses,
ideologias e contextos sócio históricos.

Abstract:
This work is extracted from the
master’s research entitled “The essay in the
final years of Elementary School in Portuguese
didactic book for Youth and Adult Education”.
It is about the didactic book as a pedagogical
practice in the Youth and Adult Education from
its choice to its use in the classroom. The general
aim is investigating how the historical-cultural
context influences in the choice and use of the
didactic material as a pedagogical practice in the
final years of Elementary School in Portuguese
didactic book for Youth and Adult Education.
The specific goals intend to reflect upon the
historic route of the didactic material, its sociohistorical construction, the way this pedagogical
resource was characterized through the years,
gaining space in the school environment and
being instituted as a discourse of authority
through the self established power relations. It is
a qualitative research predominantly descriptive
with interpretative approach. This work become
relevant as it is necessary to comprehend how much the didactic material is a pedagogical support which was modified through the
years due to the different audiences, necessities and interests, ideologies and socialhistorical contexts.
