Abstract: Biologically speaking, our brain is able to process critically little information in a given amount of time. This means that, in order to generate solid knowledge, we must focus on a few stimuli at a time. Such a limitation goes against the digital age. In today's technological world, in a matter of seconds the screens of electronic devices bombard, especially young people, the biggest users of the virtual environment, with countless information. The problem with this is that the generation of sreenagers, used to carrying out almost all activities carried out through digital screens, cannot distinguish what is relevant information for their academic life, as well as what is true or not. In this context, teaching institutions and teachers have a new challenge in education: to guide current teenagers in this virtual sea in a way that they can develop a critical sense for everything that is exposed on the internet. However, there are some problems: many parents do not have enough technological expertise to know how to advise their students in this new world. Therefore, there is a need for a reformulation in the training of teachers in the country. This article aims to elucidate the impacts, challenges and possibilities that arise in the education scenario with technological evolution. For that, the methodology used was a bibliographical study, carried out from the theoretical framework exactly in the discipline.
