O IMEDIATISMO NA APRENDIZAGEM DE LÍNGUA INGLESA: UM OLHAR A PARTIR DA PERSPECTIVA HISTÓRICO-CULTURAL EM DIÁLOGO COM O CAMPO DA LINGUÍSTICA
No modelo atual de sociedade, o imediatismo está presente em tudo, chegando ao ensino e aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras. Buscamos entender até onde esta urgência que um aluno adulto tem em aprender a língua inglesa se mescla com a cultura do imediatismo e também até onde a motivação inicial de aprender será suficiente para que ele continue se esforçando para atingir seus objetivos. Constatou-se que apesar do crescente apelo imediatista nas mídias para a venda de cursos rápidos de inglês e da pressão do mercado de trabalho para profissionais fluentes, o desejo de aprender do estudante deve vir de uma motivação interna.

Abstract:
In the current model of society, immediacy is present in everything, reaching the teaching and learning of foreign languages. We seek to understand to what extent this urgency that an adult student has to learn the English language mixes with the culture of immediacy and also to what extent the initial motivation to learn will be enough for them to continue striving to achieve their goals. It was found that despite the growing immediate appeal in the media for the sale of short English courses and the pressure of the job market for fluent professionals, the student's desire to learn must come from an internal motivation.
