Abstract: Changes in the Craniofacial Morphology, particularly in the masticate structures can be observed by means of comparisons of the bone material representing the man of the prehistoric time, until the modern civilized man. In this way, this study consists of a comparative evaluation of skulls and jaws between the sambaqui’s man (prehistoric population that lived approximately 6500 years BT) and the man contemporary, with regard to: the craniometrical indices chosen teams, the Mandible Angles Right and Left. Where had been analyzed skulls with lifetime band between 18 and 40 years, being 42 skulls of the sambaqui’s man, located in the Archaeological Museum of Sambaqui de Joinville (MASJ), and 78 skulls of the man contemporary, located in the Federal University of São Paulo - São Paulo School of Medicine (UNIFESP-EPM). The analysis of the results showed that the skull-mandible skeleton structure of the man contemporary is similar to the sambaqui’s man as the analyzed craniometrical indices. In turn, the others analyzed categories had demonstrated a significant difference between the two groups and, thus, it was possible to prove a profile of more harmonious growth for the sambaqui’s man.
