Abstract: Throughout the history of the Parintins Boi-Bumbá folklore festival in Amazonas, Brazil, dance has played a central role, represented by indigenous rites and prominently featured in its two iconic oxen, Caprichoso and Garantido. This study aims to narratively explore the dance of the Parintins Boi-Bumbá and its potential contributions to the student's development in basic education. Methodologically, it adopts a theoretical-reflective stance from a narrative perspective, carefully considering the nuances of the local culture and dance. This approach underscores the importance of discussing the significant role that Boi-Bumbá dance plays in the teaching and learning processes of students. The findings in the literature reveal that dance, through its diverse bodily expressions, offers numerous educational, social, and psychological benefits. The study concludes that integrating Boi-Bumbá dance into the curriculum of schools in Amazonas could serve as a means of collective enrichment, enhancing both cultural and educational experiences simultaneously and bolstering community spirit within the educational setting. Incorporating the dance associated with Boi-Bumbá folklore into the educational system presents an opportunity for cultural and educational enrichment, aiming to facilitate successful learning outcomes for students and improved teaching methodologies.
