Abstract: Occupational stress can be understood as a complex process in which the worker seeks to respond to demands that go beyond the possibilities of individual and social adaptation, triggering disorders at the biological and/or behavioral level. Work-related health risks depend on the type of professional activity and the conditions under which it is carried out. Health services, such as hospitals, which provide work conditions that are known to be exhausting, the routine of health professionals often presents stressful situations that can impact their physical, mental and social health. The objective of this research was to carry out a literature review on the occupational stress of the multidisciplinary team in the hospital environment. This study consists of an integrative review, carried out through electronic bases such as the scientific electronic library online (SCIELO), Latin American and Caribbean literature in health sciences (LILACS), Virtual Health Library (BVS), U.S national library of medicine institute nationals of health (PUBMED) and mediacal literature analysis and retrieval system online (MEDLINE). After careful reading, 52 articles were excluded from titles and/or abstracts and 2 by duplicate. Five articles met the inclusion criteria and were selected, in full, for reading. The studies used for the results are type studies, observational cross-sectional and a pilot study. And they address occupational stress in different health professionals and in different care settings. It is concluded that occupational stress is a factor present in all professional categories, however some professions are more susceptible than others, and can also be aggravated according to the care scenario.
