O ESTADO E A RELIGIÃO: PONDERAÇÕES ACERCA DA LAICIZAÇÃO DO ESTADO MODERNO
Esta abordagem busca descortinar a dimensão da experiência religiosa como fundamento do princípio da liberdade religiosa, a função da religião como sistema social, bem como tecer um panorama histórico das relações entre Estado e religião no início da era cristã, confluindo para os processos de laicização do Estado Moderno e os possíveis desdobramentos na perspectiva da efetivação da liberdade em consonância com os ideais do Estado Democrático de Direito. Vislumbrou-se que na formação do Estado Moderno a separação entre o público e o privado nunca existiu de forma clara e objetiva. Esta realidade, em geral, esteve condicionada por possíveis processos de negociação e acomodação onde a maior dificuldade continua sendo a construção de uma conduta dialogal.

Abstract:
This approach seeks to reveal the dimension of religious experience as the basis of the principle of religious freedom, the role of religion as a social system, as well as weave a historical panorama of the relations between state and religion at the beginning of the Christian era, converging with the secular processes of the modern state and possible developments in the perspective of the realization of freedom in line with the ideals of the democratic rule of law. It became clear that in the formation of the modern state, the separation between the public and the private never existed in a clear and objective way. This reality, in general, was conditioned by possible processes of negotiation and accommodation where the greatest difficulty continues to be the construction of a dialogical conduct.
