Abstract: This article presents a literature review on the relevance of the Human Rights discipline in the training of Military Police officers and its implications for operational practice. The aim is to gather and organize existing academic and regulatory knowledge regarding how humanistic education influences police performance and the main challenges faced in its effective implementation. The methodology is based on the analysis of regulatory documents, such as the National Curriculum Matrix of SENASP, as well as works by recognized authors in the field. The results indicate that, although Human Rights are theoretically consolidated as an institutional foundation, there are still difficulties in fully translating these principles into the daily routine of public security, requiring new teaching strategies.
