Abstract: The present study investigates the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Geography teaching, with an emphasis on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) during and after this period. The research aims to analyze the strategies adopted by teachers to ensure the continuity of education and the challenges faced in the new educational reality. Methodologically, this is an exploratory and descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach, based on a bibliographic review and the application of questionnaires to teachers from municipal schools in Graça-CE. The results indicate that, despite structural difficulties and digital exclusion, ICTs proved to be essential tools for remote teaching, providing alternatives to maintain interaction between teachers and students. However, the lack of continuous teacher training and inequality in access to technology were significant obstacles, highlighting the need for public investments in educational infrastructure. It is concluded that, although ICTs were fundamental in the pandemic context, their definitive incorporation into Geography teaching still requires public policies that promote digital equity and teacher training, aiming at the continuous improvement of the teaching-learning process.
