O ENSINO DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL DESTACANDO A PRESERVAÇÃO DA Araucaria angustifolia
Denominada “pinheiro-do-paraná”, a Araucariaangustifolia pertence a uma família pequena, nativa somente do hemisfério sul. Normalmente está associada com plantas nativas como: imbuia,erva-mate, bambu e diversas herbáceas. Das espécies que correm mais risco de extinção a araucária está classificada desde 2006 como criticamente ameaçada. A espécie teve sua área de ocorrência reduzida nas últimas décadas em razão do aumento de áreas de agricultura e silvicultura. O objetivo do trabalho foi conscientizar a preservação da Araucária angustifolia.A atividade foi desenvolvida pelos bolsistas do PIBID do curso de Ciências Biológicas da UNESPAR – campus de União da Vitória, para os alunos do Colégio Estadual José de Anchieta – Ensino Fundamental e Médio, em União da Vitória – Paraná. Primeiramente foi apresentado o que é a planta Araucária, como é a Mata das Araucárias, quais são os locais e condições necessárias para sua sobrevivência. Posteriormente foi realizada a explicação de seu plantio, com uma pequena discussão sobre a importância da preservação das Araucárias. Os alunos foram levados à área externa do colégio, para que houvesse contato com o pinheiro existente no local. Assim foi lida uma parte do livro Diário de uma Árvore a partir de uma gralha para um melhor entendimento. Em seguida, cada aluno plantou um pinhão no recipiente oferecido. Atravésdeste trabalho foi possível esclarecer aos alunosos benefícios que as araucárias nos trazem, não só a mata das araucárias, mas a floresta que a compõe, deixando claro que toda espécie, tanto animal quanto vegetal, contribui para o equilíbrio dos ecossistemas.

Abstract:
Named “pine-do-paraná”, Araucaria angustifolia belongs to a small family, native only to the southern hemisphere. Usually associated with native plants such as imbuia, yerba mate, bamboo and various herbaceous plants. Of the species that are most at risk of extinction araucaria is classified since 2006 as critically endangered. The species has had its area of occurrence reduced in the last decades because of the areas of agriculture and forestry. The objective of the work was to raise awareness of the preservation of Araucaria angustifolia. The activity was developed by PIBID grantees of the Biological Sciences course of UNESPAR - campus of União da Vitória, for the students of the José de Anchieta State College - Elementary and Middle School, in União da Vitória– Paraná. First we present what is the Araucaria plant, as is the Araucaria forest, what are the locations and conditions that it needs for its survival. Subsequently, an explanation of its planting was carried out, with a small discussion about the importance of the Araucaria preservation. The students were taken to the outer area of the school to have contact with the pine tree on the site. Thus was read a part of the book Diary of a Tree from a crow for a better understanding. Soon after, each student planted the pine nut in the container offered. With this work it was possible to clarify to the students about the benefits that the araucarias bring us, not only the forest of the araucarias, but the forest that composes it, making clear that every species, both animal and plant life, contributes to the balance of ecosystems.
