O ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS NAS SÉRIES FINAIS DO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: PECULIARIDADES DE UMA EFA NA CONCEPÇÃO DOS MONITORES
Esta pesquisa trata-se de ações desenvolvidas no Subprojeto “Docência interdisciplinar em ciências agrárias e ciências da natureza integrada à realidade local” do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) de Educação do Campo - Ciências Agrárias da Universidade Federal do Maranhão (UFMA), cujo objetivo é caracterizar o Ensino de Ciências da Escola Família Agrícola (EFA) João Evangelista de Brito (Pio XII-MA) por meio das falas dos monitores de ciências. Foi realizada pesquisa descritiva por meio de entrevistas com os monitores de ciências da referida escola. Identificamos que os monitores entendem como científico aquilo que possui comprovação dentro dos padrões de cientificidade, consideram os conhecimentos prévios dos educandos e buscar contextualização das aulas com a realidade da escola e dos educandos, acreditam na relevância do Ensino de Ciências para a cidadania. Assinalam como positivo para o Ensino de Ciências na EFA o ambiente escolar que proporciona contato direto com a natureza e possibilita explorar a relação entre ciências, agricultura e zootecnia, de forma interdisciplinar. E reconhecer a aula de campo como uma metodologia eficaz, porém utilizar-se mais da aula expositiva dialogada. Relatam a raridade dos momentos formativos oferecidos pelo poder público para a melhoria do Ensino de Ciências e que mesmo conhecendo os aspectos físicos, incluindo os recursos naturais, assim como aspectos históricos e culturais da região, encontram dificuldades de inseri-los nas aulas, mesmo assim, explora-os por meio dos planos de estudo, um dos instrumentos pedagógicos utilizados na EFA.

Abstract:
This research is about some actions developed in the Subproject “Interdisciplinary Teaching in Agrarian Sciences and Nature Sciences Integrated with Local Reality” of the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) of Rural Education - Agrarian Sciences of the Federal University do Maranhão (UFMA), whose objective is to characterize the Teaching of Sciences of the School Family Agricultural (EFA) John Evangelist of Brito (Pius XII-MA) through the speeches of the science monitors. Descriptive research was conducted through interviews with the science monitors of that school. We identified that the monitors understand as scientific what is proven within the standards of scientificity, consider the prior knowledge of students and seek contextualization of classes with the reality of the school and students, believe in the relevance of science teaching for citizenship. Positive for the teaching of science in EFA are the school environment that provides direct contact with nature and allows exploring the relationship between science, agriculture and zootechnics, in an interdisciplinary way. And recognize the field class as an effective methodology, but use more of the dialogued lecture. They report the rarity of the formative moments offered by the government to improve science education and that even knowing the physical aspects, including the natural resources, as well as historical and cultural aspects of the region, find it difficult to insert them in the classes, explores them through study plans, one of the pedagogical tools used in EFA.
