O ENSINO DE BIOLOGIA SOB A ÓTICA DISCENTE: UM RECORTE AMOSTRAL NA ESCOLA TÉCNICA ESTADUAL EM BARREIRAS - BAHIA
A aprendizagem em Biologia deve ser orientada através de uma didática capaz de proporcionar o desenvolvimento cognitivo dos alunos no momento da elaboração e da construção do conhecimento em sala de aula. Considerando que os objetivos do ensino de Biologia são de aprender conceitos, dar fundamentação ao debate crítico à luz das teorias científicas e avaliar as implicações sociais da ciência e da tecnologia na sociedade surgiu o seguinte questionamento: Como é o ensino de Biologia praticado na Escola Técnica Estadual em Barreiras, região Oeste da Bahia, a partir do olhar discente? Diante dessa problemática o presente estudo buscou averiguar a partir da percepção dos estudantes do Centro Territorial de Educação Profissional da Bacia do Rio Grande, a disciplina de Biologia ofertada nesta instituição. A pesquisa envolveu 108 discentes do curso Técnico em Agropecuária, das turmas únicas A e B do 1º e 2º ano que estavam vivenciando a disciplina Biologia no transcorrer do primeiro semestre de 2019. A coleta de dados ocorreu por meio da aplicação de questionário em que os resultados da investigação foram avaliados através de uma abordagem qualitativa e da metodologia de análise do conteúdo. A partir dos resultados alcançados observou-se que os alunos possuem empatia com os componentes curriculares da disciplina de Biologia, no entanto, sentem falta de uma metodologia diferenciada por parte dos docentes responsáveis pelo ensino de Biologia. Há uma predominância da forma teórica, verbalizada e livresca, não havendo a inserção de atividades prático-experimentais, o que dificulta a aprendizagem discente. Conclui-se um quadro insatisfatório com relação ao ensino de Biologia manifestado pelos estudantes durante o período da pesquisa, mesmo reconhecendo que excepcionalmente certos professores, de maneira isolada e com recursos próprios, se mobilizam para realizar algumas aulas experimentais.

Abstract:
Biology learning should be guided through didactics capable of providing students' cognitive development when preparing and building knowledge in the classroom. Considering that the objectives of teaching Biology are to learn concepts, to give grounds to the critical debate in the light of scientific theories and to evaluate the social implications of science and technology in society, the following question arose: How is the teaching of Biology practiced in the Technical School State in Barreiras, Western Bahia, from the student's perspective? Faced with this problem, the present study sought to ascertain from the perception of students at the Territorial Center for Professional Education of the Rio Grande Basin, the discipline of Biology offered at this institution. The research involved 108 students from the Technical course in Agriculture, from single classes A and B of the 1st and 2nd year who were experiencing the discipline Biology during the first semester of 2019. Data collection occurred through the application of a questionnaire in which students Research results were assessed using a qualitative approach and content analysis methodology. From the results achieved, it was observed that students have empathy with the curricular components of the discipline of Biology, however, they miss a different methodology on the part of the teachers responsible for teaching Biology. There is a predominance of the theoretical, verbalized and bookish form, with no insertion of practical-experimental activities, which makes student learning difficult. It concludes an unsatisfactory picture regarding the teaching of Biology manifested by the students during the research period, even recognizing that exceptionally certain teachers, in an isolated way and with their own resources, are mobilized to carry out some experimental classes.
