O ENSINO DA MATEMÁTICA E SUA CONTRIBUIÇÃO PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DA CONSCIÊNCIA AMBIENTAL DOS ESTUDANTES DA EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA
O presente estudo, discute os
resultados de uma formação continuada
em Educação Ambiental e Matemática para
professores de Matemática, focada nas
contribuições da aplicação de atividades
envolvendo conteúdos matemáticos e temas
ambientais para o desenvolvimento da
consciêntização ambiental dos estudantes.
As atividades que foram elaboradas durante a
formação e desenvolvidas com os alunos dos
anos finais do ensino fundamental da rede
municipal e estadual de São Sebastião do Caí,
abordaram a temática da água, dos resíduos,
da poluição, da fauna, da vegetação, da
energia, das áreas de preservação permanente
e foram constituídos principalmente por jogos
matemáticos, situações-problema matemáticas
envolvendo a temática ambiental, saídas
a campo, pesquisas no entorno da escola,
palestras, campanhas de conscientização e
pesquisas bibliográficas em meios eletrônicos.
As situações utilizadas pelos professores e
seus alunos, provocaram nos estudantes a
percepção da necessidade de reformularem
os hábitos e cuidados com o meio ambiente
e também, conseguiram despertar o interesse
pela Matemática, pois ela passou a ser vista por
eles, como uma ferramenta útil e indispensável,
que pode ser utilizada e aplicada na resolução
de temas variados, dando subsídios para
interpretação de fatos que ocorrem ao nosso
redor.

Abstract:
This study,discuss presents
the results of a continued formation in
environmental and math education to math
teachers, focused in the contributions of the
application of activities involving mathematics
contents and environmental themes for the
formation environmental awareness of students.
The activities that were developed during the
training and developed with the students of the
final years of elementary school of the municipal
and state network of São Sebastião do Caí,
addressed the theme of water, waste, pollution,
wildlife, vegetation, energy, the areas of APP and were constituted mainly and were
mainly composed of mathematical games, mathematical problem situations involving
the environmental theme, exits to the field, researches around the school, lectures,
awareness campaigns and bibliographic research in electronic media. The situations
used by teachers and their students evoked in the students the perception of the need
to reformulate the habits and care with the environment moreove, it was able to arouse
interest in mathematics, because it started come to be seen by them, as a useful and
indispensable tool that can be used and applied in the resolution of varied themes,
giving subsidies for the interpretation of facts that occur around us.
